Instructions for Customer: How to Cut the Sketch (Template) Properly

To ensure your design aligns perfectly with your phone case, follow these steps carefully:

  1. Print the sketch/template at actual size.
    Use 100% scale (no scaling, “Fit to Page” off) when printing your sketch or template. This ensures finger holes and camera cutouts match.

  2. Overlay your phone or the case.
    Place your actual phone (or the empty case) on top of the printed template. Align edges and corners as precisely as possible.

  3. Mark camera, speaker, and button cutouts.
    Using a fine-tip pencil, lightly mark the boundaries and centers of the camera lens, flash, speaker, buttons, microphone, and charging port.

  4. Cut slowly and carefully.
    Use a sharp precision knife (X-Acto, craft knife) or fine trimming scissors. Cut inside the lines for camera/speaker holes — it’s safer to remove a little more later than to cut too much initially.

  5. Dry-fit before final insertion.
    Before placing the sketch inside the case permanently, test-fit it. If any portion overlaps or obstructs a button or camera, trim gently until it fits snugly.

  6. Insert the sketch into the case.
    Carefully slide or insert your trimmed sketch into the phone case. Press edges to seat the sketch securely. Make sure the design lies flat with no folding or creases.

  7. Final check.
    Check all ports, buttons, and camera visibility. Make any small trims if needed for perfect alignment.
